What’s the difference between an Approved Provider and a Service Provider?
When you receive a Home Care Package (HCP), you must nominate an Approved Provider to manage your package. Approved Providers are registered with the Department of Health and meet government standards to oversee your funds, coordinate services, and ensure compliance.
A Service Provider, like us, is the team that delivers your actual support services—such as cleaning, personal care, transport, allied health and more.
Some Approved Providers also act as Service Providers and may only offer their own in-house staff. It’s a good idea to choose a provider who allows you to use external Service Providers without charging extra, giving you more choice and flexibility in your care.
